Our
Amazing
Seniors

We care very much about our elderly patients. Many find it hard to travel to the dental office multiple times a year. Our dental hygienist is happy to provide service to those in nursing homes and retirement homes. If a patient cannot sit in a chair, service can be provided in their wheelchair or in their bed. If a patient is unable to have liquids, hand scaling only (without the water ultrasonic) will be provided.

If the patient has dry mouth due to medications or mouth breathing, we can wipe the oral tissues with some dry mouth mouthwash or give a rinse with the mouthwash for relief.

The Appointment

The appointment starts with medical and dental history, then scaling, polish, flossing, fluoride, dry mouth mouthwash and then it ends with a short oral hygiene instruction. Patients will still need to see their dentist for an exam and x-rays.  It is recommended for most children and adults to have dental hygiene services twice per year. Insurance will be submitted electronically on the day of service.
